ASK ME ANYTHING IN THE COMMENTS.
I never planned on writing one of these posts, but I feel that it could be helpful for IUB students whose chances of getting into Kelley (Standard Admission) may be looking grim. So, hopefully, I can provide some closure.
I was not a great high school student. I had a ~3.0 and sort of just passed by most classes. I did average on my ACT as well, but got into a few respectable schools (IUB being one of them). Once you get to college, it is your time to either continue that route of "just passing by", or change it. My plan was to change it, but was almost derailed pretty early on.
First semester at IUB, I worked super hard. I wanted to do business, but wasn't a DA. That's fine -- I told myself -- I would just do the standard admission. As you know, you need all solid "B's" or higher. Without going into the details of my personal life, one exam in Calc I bombed. Very badly. All my other tests were average, but that one was so bad that I ended the class with a high C-. NOT GOOD.
I worked hard, got A's in nearly every other class (a B or two), and got into Kelley via standard admit. It can be done. Breathe. Ask me any questions you may have.
